We remember the Autumn Meeting by sharing the interview with Prof. Julian Perelman, one of the trainers of “Course 1: Assessment of Outcomes Research Technologies”.
The specialist in Health Economics presented the topic “Economic evaluation in health”, the aim of which was to share how the evaluation of new medicines works in Portugal. “This course aimed to explain to trainees how a decision can be made regarding new medicines that appear, that is, how financing is processed within the scope of the National Health Service, what are the criteria for making this decision and how the evaluation is carried out”, says the professor at the National School of Public Health.
The Prof. Julian Perelman also explains how this course is essential for health professionals working in the area of lung cancer and gives a positive assessment of the training carried out at the Lung Cancer Study Group (GECP) meeting.
