Tobacco will kill more than eight million people a year by 2030, warns WHO

Tobacco will kill more than eight million people worldwide every year by 2030 if current trends are held, the World Health Organization estimated, according to which 80% of deaths will occur in poor countries.

In a recent report, the World Health Organization (WHO) defines tobacco consumption as “a global epidemic that plagues entire countries and regions”, causing most damage to the most vulnerable countries.
