Lung Cancer Study Group

Questionnaire “Talking about life until the end”: GECP calls for the participation of experts.

As a partner of the Lung Cancer Alliance, the Lung Cancer Study Group (GECP) is releasing a national study dedicated to end-of-life communication in the context of lung cancer. The questionnaire, entitled “Talking About Life Until the End,” aims to map current practices, identify barriers, and detect training needs among healthcare professionals.

Sharing information about prognosis and end-of-life is one of the most sensitive moments in clinical practice. This research aims to collect data on the frequency and timing of these conversations, as well as the use of structured tools and the involvement of multidisciplinary teams.

The study is specifically directed at oncologists and pulmonologists. Completion takes approximately 7 to 10 minutes, and participation is voluntary and completely anonymous. The results will be analyzed in aggregate to produce practical recommendations and scientific publications aimed at improving patient support.

GECP emphasizes the importance of its members’ participation in this initiative, in order to ensure that the national reality is properly represented and that interventions that align care with patients’ values and preferences can be promoted.
