In the context of World Cancer Survivor Day, which is celebrated on June 7th, the Lung Cancer Study Group (GECP) is launching the digital campaign “I am a survivor”. Throughout this month, the initiative will give voice to real stories of resilience and courage, starting with the testimony of Renata Ferreira.
At 42 years old, the economist, data analysis specialist and mother of two, recalls the moment when her routine was abruptly challenged by the diagnosis of lung cancer. In this first week of the campaign, Renata recounts in the first person her entire journey: from the perception of the initial signs and the impact of the confirmation of the disease, to the strength she found in the most demanding phases of treatment and the importance of the complicity established with her medical team.
