I am a survivor | Manuela de Pinho Andrade

Overcoming thoracic cancer is also about rediscovering the meaning of the word
new beginning. Continuing the digital campaign “I am a survivor”, launched by the
Lung Cancer Study Group (GECP) as part of World Cancer Survivor Day, the second week of the initiative highlights the testimony of Maria Manuela de Pinho Andrade.

For the guest, the journey against lung cancer is remembered not only as a demanding healing process, but as a profound experience that ended up bringing new colors, lessons and priorities to her daily routine and life projects.

In this intimate sharing, Manuela addresses the complexity of managing family affections after the initial impact of the diagnosis and recounts the courageous way she faced each stage of clinical treatments. Currently with the disease under control, she also makes a point of leaving a deep and affectionate thank you to all the health professionals involved in her journey, whose constant support, humanism and dedication represented one of her great anchors in the most challenging moments.

The full interview, where Manuela shares the lessons she has learned and the words of comfort she would leave herself at the beginning of her illness, is now available.
