World No Tobacco Day
Lung cancer is more than smoking” is the motto of the GECP campaign to mark the World No Tobacco Day, which is celebrated annually on the 31st of May.
Today we focus on demystifying the stigma associated with lung cancer, warning that there are other risk factors at the origin of this disease. We intend to make clear the idea that about 85% of lung cancer cases could be avoided with smoking cessation, but in addition to this factor, there are still other causes for the development of cancer cells in the lungs such as environmental pollution, genetic and hereditary factors and passive smoking.
Be aware of possible symptoms and see your doctor!
