Lung Cancer Study Group

The ASCO meeting takes place from 29 to 31st may in virtual format

The ASCO (American Society of Clinical Oncology) congress is the largest event in the field of Oncology worldwide, and takes place annually in Chicago. In 2019, the participants were 42,500. The emphasis given to lung cancer at this event has been growing in recent years, as a result of advances in therapy in this area. In a survey carried out among participants in 2019 about their main interest in the meeting, lung cancer came in 3rd place, just behind clinical trials (1st place), and breast cancer (2nd place).

This year, due to the COVID-19 pandemic, the organization opted for an innovative virtual format. The scientific program will allow participants to see and hear the brightest minds in Oncology, presenting new therapies and debating the most relevant topics. On Sunday, May 31 at 10 am, there will be a session dedicated to lung cancer, with the main scientific results that deserve to be highlighted in this area.

Registration is mandatory for all participants, and can be done even during the meeting, although it is recommended that it be done at least 2 working days before it starts. ASCO members will have free registration. More information on registration fees and refunds for those previously registered in the face-to-face format is available at the link.
