In the context of smoking prevention, we highlight the scientific article “Tobacco-Free Generation Could Prevent 40 Percent of Predicted Lung Cancer Deaths Globally”, published on the Practice Update website.
According to the study, implementing a tobacco-free generation could substantially reduce global mortality from lung cancer. Researchers estimated the impact of smoking cessation on lung cancer mortality in people born between 2006 and 2010 in 185 countries.
