Roundtable 3: Patient Well-being focused on three fundamental themes aimed at humanizing care for lung cancer patients. Dr. Margarida Felizardo, a member of the Scientific Committee of the Lung Cancer Study Group (GECP), moderated the session and highlighted the importance of “listening and reconciliation in today’s world,” as well as “multidisciplinarity in the areas of oncofertility and pharmacology.”
Regarding the barriers to implementing these practices, the pulmonologist cited “lack of time and professionals dedicated to these areas.”
As a final message, she emphasized that “caring beyond the tumor means being able to see the whole picture,” stressing the importance of a “multidisciplinary network to meet the patient’s expectations and needs.”
