Professor Rute Costa led the “Scientific Writing Course – How to write a scientific article: from initial research to publication,” held on October 24th during the Autumn Meeting of the Lung Cancer Study Group (GECP).
In the aftermath of the session, the instructor highlighted some of the main difficulties that many healthcare professionals face when publishing articles, namely “lack of time and high competitiveness.”
For successful publication, the expert reinforces the importance of solid research. “If we have a good basic methodology, publication will be much easier,” she says. She concludes with valuable advice to the trainees on how to maintain motivation and consistency in scientific writing.
