RESEARCH ACTIVITY

Develop a dynamic that allows studies in the area of thoracic tumors to be carried out at the initiative of GECP members.

Support and participate in initiatives of other groups, societies or entities for the elaboration of transversal and multidisciplinary studies in the area of thoracic tumors

Create a Scientific Award and a Grant, in the areas of academic formation, research and / or acquisition of new techniques.

SCIENTIFIC ACTIVITY

Complete and spread, either in publication or on the websites, the national guidelines for diagnostic and treatment of chest tumors.

Streamline the Journal of the Lung Cancer Study Group, evolving into a more comprehensive format that reflects the Portuguese reality, and open to all who want to participate in it.

SOCIAL AWARENESS ACTIVITY

Improve and streamline the GECP website in real time and with greater interactivity.

Establish partnerships with patient Associations

Carry out lung cancer dissemination activities in the context of prevention, combating risk factors, and alert to signs and symptoms of thoracic oncological disease and its relationship with smoking.

The GECP launches a Lung Cancer Guide for patients and caregivers, with everything you should know about the disease and the treatments currently available. The more informed you are, the better you will be able to ask the right questions and participate in decisions regarding your treatment plan.
