Consensus on the Diagnosis and Treatment of Lung Cancer in Portugal

The Lung Cancer Study Group (GECP) has just made available for consultation the national consensus documents dedicated to standardizing the diagnostic and therapeutic approach to lung cancer in Portugal.
The project arises from the need to reduce the heterogeneity currently observed in clinical practice, ensuring clear guidance aligned with the latest European recommendations and scientific evidence. Throughout this process, 17 multidisciplinary working groups developed specific chapters within their areas of expertise, translating up-to-date knowledge into concrete recommendations for clinical application throughout the country.
With the publication of these documents, the GECP reinforces its commitment to promoting high-quality care for patients with lung cancer, contributing to a more harmonized, informed, and effective practice.
