As part of the celebrations for World Lung Cancer Day, which is celebrated on August 1st, the Lung Cancer Study Group (GECP) launches a new digital health awareness and literacy campaign under the motto \u201cNot all lung cancers are the same\u201d.<\/p>\n
The initiative has the central objective of demystifying the disease among the general public and drawing attention to the extreme relevance of the biological characterization of each tumor, a decisive step towards choosing more personalized and effective treatments.<\/p>\n

\nHealth literacy plays a key role in early detection and
\ndeconstruction of stigmas associated with lung cancer. Through this campaign,
\ndeveloped for social media, the GECP aims to explain in a simple, visual and rigorous way how lung cancer encompasses different types and subtypes of tumors, each with different clinical behaviors, evolutions and therapeutic approaches.<\/p>\n
\n– July 30th (Thursday)<\/strong>: Campaign presentation video, with the testimony and framing of Dr. Ana Barroso, member of the GECP Board of Directors.
\n– July 31st (Friday)<\/strong>: Release of the first infographic video dedicated to Non-Small Cell Lung Cancer (NSCLC).
\n– August 1st (Saturday)<\/strong>: Publication of the second infographic video, focused on Small Cell Lung Cancer (SCLC) and other less common thoracic tumors.<\/p>\n
