The data show a worrying upward trend, especially among women, whose mortality rate has doubled over the last two decades.<\/p>\n<p>&#8220;The continued increase in lung cancer mortality, especially among women, is alarming and requires an urgent response in terms of prevention and screening programmes&#8221;, warns the Lung Cancer Study Group (GECP).
