DAVID ARA\u00daJO, ON THE PORTO CANAL CONSULTING PROGRAM"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>Dr. David Ara\u00fajo, member of the Scientific Committee of the Lung Cancer Study Group (GECP), was on the Porto Canal program &#8220;Consult\u00f3rio&#8221; to promote the 2nd edition of the Walk in the Rhythm of Health, which will take place on May 18, on the Vila Nova de Gaia waterfront.<\/p>\n<p>During the interview, the specialist highlighted the importance of regular physical activity in preventing lung cancer, also highlighting the fundamental role of smoking cessation and avoidance. &#8220;Physical activity is essential not only in preventing oncological diseases, but also in improving the quality of life of patients already diagnosed with lung cancer,&#8221; he explained. He also highlighted that the initiative aims to bring together health professionals, cancer patients and their families, in a moment of awareness and health promotion within the community.<\/p>\n<p>The specialist also addressed the challenges associated with diagnosing lung cancer, citing that it is often a silent disease.
