{"id":13909,"date":"2024-01-03T17:02:15","date_gmt":"2024-01-03T17:02:15","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/www.gecp.pt\/?p=13909"},"modified":"2024-01-03T17:02:15","modified_gmt":"2024-01-03T17:02:15","slug":"10-year-lung-cancer-specific-survival-for-low-dose-ct-persists","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.gecp.pt\/en\/10-year-lung-cancer-specific-survival-for-low-dose-ct-persists\/","title":{"rendered":"10-Year Lung Cancer-Specific Survival for Low-Dose CT Persists"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>In a study published by the journal Radiology, it was observed that, for an expanded cohort of the International Early Lung Cancer Action Program (I-ELCAP), undergoing annual low-dose computed tomography (LDCT) screening, the survival rate specificity for lung cancer at 10 years of 80%, registered in 2006, remained at 20 years.<\/p>\n<p>The researchers determined the 20-year lung cancer-specific survival of participants diagnosed with their first primary lung cancer through annual TCBD screening in the I-ELCAP cohort to update the cure rate.
