International Art and Health Conference
The International Art and Health Conference will take place on November 10th, between 8am and 9pm, in the Auditorium at EDP headquarters, in Lisbon.
This international conference aims to share and reflect analytically and critically on practices that lie at the intersection between art and medicine, in a transdisciplinary approach. Through dialogue between professionals and researchers from different countries and disciplinary fields – from medicine, nursing and neuroscience to imaging in medicine and microbiology, through art, design or architecture –, the aim is to open the debate on the present, but also looking to the future, seeking to understand how art and science, two areas of knowledge often considered distinct, can be allies and contribute to change and a better quality of life.
The Conference is chaired by Joana Henriques (MAAT), João Pinharanda (MAAT) and Luís Campos (doctor and artist) and is in partnership with CPSA, Gulbenkian Foundation, NOVA Medical School, EDP, European Federation of Internal Medicine and the International Forum of Internal Medicine in Latin America.
